Types of installation
U = Submersible motor pump and fixed installation. Automatic connection of the pump to the discharge foot.
UM = Pump with submersible motor and mobile installation.
FUH = Similar to pump S, but with submersible hydraulic motor drive.
UMH = Same as UM, but with hydraulic drive.
Elbow mounted
Designation of the constructions
Suspended with lateral motor.
With base plate and belt drive.
Suspended with motor hanging below.
With baseplate and mechanical reducer.
Suspended with Cardan coupling.
With bedplate and direct coupling.
Bearing supports
The shaft is supported by robust bearings located outside the elbow (housing) and mounted in the housing.
The bearing housings for dry mounting are provided with oil bath lubricated bearings.
All bearings are calculated for a minimum life of 16,000 hours.
Design A
Normal design with two single row ball bearings.
Version B
Reinforced housing, equipped on the drive side with two single row oblique ball bearings.
Version C
Reinforced housing for axial forces, equipped on the drive side with three single-row oblique ball bearings.
Shaft sealing
Various types of stuffing boxes are available.
According to DIN 3780.
To avoid the serious problem of changing the packing rings without emptying the system, Licar propeller pumps have the special feature of axial displacement of the shaft. When the pump is stopped and the shaft is displaced, a seal is produced that allows the used packing rings to be removed and replaced without draining the liquid from the system.
On request, mechanical seals according to DIN 24960 can also be installed.
